Join us for a Wood Carving Class in the Historic Heart of Downtown Rochester.

We are excited to welcome Kevin Ewing to host this session inside the Emporium.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will get an overview of carving tools, the marks they make and the contours possible.   We will quickly get into making chips fly, and you will take home your finished work at the end of class.  Expect about an hour of direct instruction and conversation about wood and tool selections, designing and sharpening.  No previous art experience is necessary for this class session! We will guide you through each step and will be there to help with any questions you may have.

A basswood blank will be provided and tools will be available for use in the class and for purchase to take with you, if desired.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own carving tools if they have them!

You can meet a friend, grab a group, or join us on your own!
